2026 Poem Treasure Hunt poem

A Few Things to Remember

  1. The treasure hunt is free for anybody and everybody.
  2. We picked this year's location with safety in mind. You follow a trail almost the entire way there. Once you step off the trail, it's not dangerous whatsoever. No rock climbing, mountain goating, bushwacking, or digging is necessary at all. You should have cell phone service the entire time.
  3. Remember to take enough water and sunscreen with you. The summer is going to be hot so take care of yourselves. We love you guys and want everyone to stay safe and have fun.
  4. Be on alert for wildlife. Past participants have spotted rattlesnakes, so stay aware of your surroundings.
  5. This community has been amazing. But we want to remind everyone to treat the mountains and trails with the utmost respect and love. We are incredibly blessed to have some of the most beautiful mountains in Utah.
  6. Outsmarting 100k people for longer than a few hours is tough. So the clues in the poem are subjective and purposely tricky. Be patient with us and with yourselves.

Weekly Hints

Treasure Hunt Boundaries
1
The trail to the location of this years chest is more difficult than last years. Dave hiked it a few days after surgery and was fine. There were plenty of families with young kids on the trail the day we were there. So it's safe and doable for most hunters. Just tougher.
2
Speaking of tougher, in line #11 in the poem the word "hard" isn't a clue about the trail's surface (rock, wood, asphalt). It's saying this part of the trail is a bit tricky.
